UPDATE: I have lived at The Lodge Apartments for a little over a year now, and I'm still very satisfied. I haven't really had any problems, and the management remains happy to help. I legitimately don't have any complaints. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I've only lived here for a few months, but I already feel like I'm at home. Any time I've had an issue, it was taken care of almost immediately. Everything is clean and recently renovated and the buildings really do feel like a little village. I looked for several months at apartments across Independence, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs and KC, but I kept coming back to The Lodge in my search. Glad I landed here.

Lived here for 2 years. Clean complex. Nice apartments. A little pricey but affordable for the right person. The blinds they use are cheep they fell down just by pulling them up, I had to replace both window sets.

The Lodge was probably worthy of a three or four star rating under Liberty. I mean sure the maintenance team was still just as awful as they are now but she tried to make this community an actual community. She knew people's names, helped with issues to the utmost of her ability. The management under Vee however is worth less than one star but I have to put one or else the rating won't post. She has ignored us for the entire time she's been in charge. Threatening us with fees for not picking up after our dog. We have a 55 lb dog and the only occasional pile of poop I saw looked like it came from a cat sized dog. After that commotion we still have yet to receive any maintenance on our apartment. Like the broken screen door that's been here since we've moved in. Four burned out lights. The list goes on. And it would seem that the employee's care just about as much as she does. I've seen at least four new assistants come and go since the management change. I get it some jobs just aren't right for people. But four people? In four months? That's a bit absurd. Now on to the apartment itself. The whole area is very appealing to look at. And not much else. The floor boards are warped causing a lot of squeaking, the doors are uneven and very cheap. The walls are thinner than tracing paper so good luck trying to watch a movie before bed or even lay in bed normally. Everything we do our neighbors can hear. It's like living in an apartment made of eggshells half the time. The plumbing is horrendous. Every time we use our sink it makes this loud droning sound we nicknamed it the "sink of screams". The hot water takes forever and there's no such thing as cold water unless it happens to be under 30 degrees outside. Speaking of hot and cold oh boy. I sure hope you like paying out the wazoo on gas and electricity because these apartments are so drafty you'd think you didn't even have doors or windows. When I walk through the apartment from the master bedroom to the living room I can feel a breeze on my feet coming from the gap in our balcony door and front door. Even the windows let out all the nice warm air in the winter. The carpets pass with a D+ just because they are easy to clean cheap generic carpets. The only issue is that they are removing up and away from the floor boards so if you have an office chair you'll end up with a nice little hill under the chair. My overall take on the place? DON'T MOVE HERE. DON'T EVEN CONSIDER IT. Horrible maintenance, horrible management, horrible cheaply built apartments. It's got all the horrible works you could imagine. If you like all that plus pot smokers living all around you stinking up your apartment and giving you constant migraines. Then go right ahead sign your name on the dotted line. I however will NOT be renewing my lease.

"If you want to be completely miserable and abosultely HATE where you live, deal with miscommunication, get charged extra or twice for one months rent, and deal with unreliable maintenance men and local meth heads, this is the place for you!" i already have two fellow families of mines going up against these people in court and im terminating my lease very soon!
