I would like to know how to get on the waiting list for a one bedroom apartment. I have heard good things about this place

Very promptly resolved my issues. However, had my wife and daughter been home, I’d have a real problem with the way they knock as they’re opening the door. Edit: The above post was from 2018-2019. I lived here with my wife and daughter for 6 years. Originally I gave the place 4 stars, it was reasonably priced. Not a great neighborhood, but it could’ve been much worse. Let’s talk about the truth of this place real quick. Maintenance is good. Unless you need something major, like a hot water heater, or AC unit, fixed or replaced. The AC unit to my apartment was frankensteined together by three different companies the second summer I lived here. Loud, leaky, sounds awful every time it fires up. But hey, it blows cold-ish air outta the vents. Amenities, pre covid, the gym was ok. The 1998 style pulley weights were broken in, and kinda unsafe. The treadmill was rigged to work, but only just. The pool, you’re lucky if that’s open for 2 months out of the year. And it might get cleaned once in those two months after being filled. I’ve literally heard the maintenance guy saying, why waste money on expensive chemicals when it’s only open for 6 weeks. Post covid amenities. After our contracts were violated, maintenance not entering units to stop the spread of sickness, exterminators not being brought in for pest control, even though we signed paperwork stating that was something they would do as part of the lease…..what can I say, the world shut down, and we just have to shrug and say, “Whatever.”. I gave the office 2 months and some change notice I was moving out. Per the rules. My wife and I were never, ever late paying any bills to this company, even though the AMC rent pay website likes to lock you out of your account every single time you log into it. And we have to pay a surcharge, to have the privilege of paying online every month, AFTER setting up a new password. When we moved in, under prior management, they had not cleaned. They put in new carpet, and painted over a chain smokers lung residue. Which, when it gets above 77 degrees inside the house, would bleed through the coat of paint. So, every time we showered, or cooked, we had to wipe the walls of nicotine drips from the previous resident. Our doors were all battered, and looked like they had fists, feet, or blunt instruments put through them. We were told, we would not get new doors. Period. We lived in the corner unit, ground floor, by the street. So, lucky us, we got all the trash from the street, and the neighborhood in our back patio, and in our bushes by the front door. Daily, I would clean this up, former management actually said I was throwing the trash on the ground. So I just bought a leaf blower. Over the course of 6 years at this place, I’ve had 10 plus neighbors, come and go, on either side, and above me. Walls are paper thin, but that’s just apartment living, right? Mostly, after you rent an apartment for six years, your carpet is going to need replaced. We didn’t own pets. But we’ve seen 6 winters, 6 stormy spring/falls…..carpet needs replaced. Even says on the move out forms, if you’ve lived there 2+ years, you’re deposit won’t reflect carpet cleaning negligence, or some such a nonsense. So imagine my surprise, to get charged for carpet cleaning, as I’ve seen people move into a freshly carpeted unit, and a year later, the company is replacing the rugs for the next tenant. I’m not saying they shouldn’t. I’m saying, after 6 years of seeing these other units get new carpet multiple times, why am I being charged for the cleaning of trash? The drip pans on the stove, and the blinds by the back door. I bought a brand new pack of both. Replaced them 15-20 minutes before I turned over my keys. After my wife and I spent 2 days off, moving, and scrubbing the walls. But I’m getting charged to get them replaced? When I already paid Walmart and Lowe’s? Basically, if you move in here, I’m not saying you’ll hate it. But, when you leave, don’t make the extra effort.

Have been here for about a week now and everything has gone great. Management was super helpful when getting everything ready and when we did the inspection a few things needed attention, they quickly put in the requests and everything was fixed within 2 days. Could not be happier with the apartment, management, and maintenance.

My wife and I had an appointment today with Vee at 2:00. We arrived a little early and tried to go into the leasing office, but nobody was there. We came back at 2 as that was when we were originally supposed to be there. We saw an employee from Xfinity return some keys to somebody in the office so we figured we could probably go in. We tried to go back into the office, but the door was still locked. We knocked and waited there for a couple minutes. Nobody showed up. After reading the reviews of this place I am actually glad that we were never able to see the property. Living here sounds like a nightmare.

I've lived in 4 apartment complexes before The Lodge. Hands down this is the worst place I have ever resided. I cannot explain how awful the management is. Vee, the property manager, has done absolutely the bare minimum. She nor the staff ever take responsibility for their mistakes, late maintenance attending, or shortages they give you while living here. I didn't have a working dishwasher the first month I lived here, my whole kitchen floor would have standing water from it leaking when I tried to run it, then after two weeks they finally fixed that... only to further find out the workers had my water turned off and never turned it back on after repairing it and it was another two weeks before they got around to turning it on so I could use it. The washers and dryers are filled with mold. You can't even open the door without being overwhelmed with the smell of it. The pool didn't open until mid July and closed first weekend of September. As of May 2018 the City Hall informed me that they don't even have an active business license, the owner of the company lives in California.. I was provided with a contact number for him and he never answered or returned my messages. I had new neighbors move in above me the maintenance crew were hammering the floors for at least 1-2 days and I thought they were just fixing the place up for the new tenants so I said nothing. After they changed the floors without the managements awareness it was like they took the padding completely out of the floor so living below them absolutely miserable. Whatever they did made sounded like bowling balls were just dropping like bombs constantly. I was constantly being woken up by screaming and throwing things, banging and beating on the walls and floors and I couldn't get any help. When I told Vee the property manager she told me she didn't even know what I was talking about she didn't have any knowledge of people working on the floors above me, and she would look in the books later to check. Never did until I had to schedule a meeting with the regional manager. When I was explaining to Vee about the hammering and loud music the workers were playing (not upset by it just proving someone had been there working on the floors) she replied "well why didn't you let me know?" Like it was my job to babysit her employees. Like it was my job to report what her staff was doing because she wasn't aware of the situation. The regional manager, Brandi, took out an hour of my day to lie to my face and never once called me after, answered any of my calls, or returned my messages.. they just told me what I wanted to hear to hold me over and then did nothing.. didn't even give basic respectful communication. That is literally the minimum of what a manager is supposed to do, at least provide informative or responding communication which was never done. Also had my deadbolt on my door broken and it took them a month to do a three minute fix. She promised me multiple times it would be finished by the end of that day and before I went out of town. I was having to put a couch in front of my door at night and leave my door unlocked when I left because again they didn't do the bare minimum of their job. When I went out of town and her promise of my door being fixed was not met I then had to have my mother stay while I was gone and she too had to put a couch in front of the door at night so it wouldn't blow open in the middle of the night.
